Quaranfil virus is a species of virus in the Quaranjavirus genus in the virus family Orthomyxoviridae. It has a negative sense, single-stranded RNA genome composed of 6 segments. Its hosts are ticks, birds, and humans. It was isolated from ticks near Cairo, Egypt in 1953.{{Cite journal|last=Taylor|first=RM|year=1966|title=Arboviruses isolated from ARGAS TICKS IN Egypt: Quaranfil, Chenuda, and Nyamanini|journal=Am. The virus has not yet been connected to a human disease.{{Cite journal|last=Presti|first=Rachel M.|last2=Zhao|first2=Guoyan|last3=Beatty|first3=Wandy L.|last4=Mihindukulasuriya|first4=Kathie A.|last5=Rosa|first5=Amelia P.
