Career
Kamal was elected in parliament from Magura-2 in the 1994 by-election as a candidate of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).{{Cite news |url=https://www.thedailystar.net/news-detail-5333|title=Party men demand punishment of ex-BNP MP in Magura|date=2007-09-25|work=The Daily Star|language=en|access-date=2020-03-06}} In 2001 he was elected again from the same constituency.
