Since 2020, he has also been a part of the electronic music duo known as Tiger Drool, alongside fellow record producer, Robert Vincent Hughes.

Quix was born and raised in Auckland and grew up in a Christian home. He considers himself Christian and currently goes to the Hillsong Church along with his wife. At a young age, his mother home-schooled him for a period of time. He started experimenting with music when he was 9-years-old playing in bands and started getting into EDM when he was 14. He chose the moniker Quix and got his name from translating his last name from German which means fast. In 2017 he dropped his debut EP titled "Heaps Cool".{{Cite magazine|date=2018-01-11|title=Quix Unleashes New Single 'Storm': Exclusive Premiere|url=https://www.billboard.com/music/music-news/quix-unleashes-new-single-storm-exclusive-premiere-8094069/|access-date=2021-03-12|magazine=Billboard}} One of his most popular songs is his collaboration with Boombox Cartel "Supernatural", which has received millions of plays and was released on the label Mad Decent.{{Cite web|title=Mad Decent|url=http://www.maddecent.com/|access-date=2021-03-12|website=www.maddecent.com|language=en-US}} He also has a collab with Alison Wonderland titled "TimeE".{{Cite magazine|title=Alison Wonderland and Quix Defy 'Time' With a Bass-Boosted Groove: Exclusive|url=https://www.billboard.com/music/music-news/alison-wonderland-quix-time-8526883/|access-date=2021-03-12|magazine=Billboard|language=en}}{{Cite web|last=Scilippa|first=Phil|title=Alison Wonderland Teams Up with QUIX for "TIME"|url=https://edm.com/music-releases/alison-wonderland-quix-time|access-date=2021-03-12|website=EDM.com - The Latest Electronic Dance Music News, Reviews & Artists|language=en}}{{Cite web|date=2019-10-31|title=Alison Wonderland and QUIX strikes with eclectic remix package for their 'TIME' project|url=https://dancingastronaut.com/2019/10/alison-wonderland-and-quix-strikes-with-eclectic-remix-package-for-their-time-project/|access-date=2021-03-12|website=Dancing Astronaut|language=en-US}}
