It wasn't until 2000, after running the company for four years, that it started turning a modest profit at 50,000 games a year.{{cite news |last=Witsil |first=Frank |date=2001-05-08 |title=Board game believer |url=https://infoweb.newsbank.com/apps/news/document-view?p=WORLDNEWS&docref=news/0EBEBBA4DE627107&f=basic |newspaper=The Tampa Tribune |accessdate=2024-01-17 |archiveurl=https://archive.today/20240117082801/https://infoweb.newsbank.com/apps/news/document-view?p=WORLDNEWS&docref=news/0EBEBBA4DE627107&f=basic |archivedate=2024-01-17 }} By 2008, he was selling over 75,000 games a year.{{cite book |last=Tinsman |first=Brian |date=2008 |title=The Game Inventor's Guidebook: How to Invent and Sell Board Games, Card Games, Role-Playing Games, & Everything in Between! |url=https://books.google.com/books?id=YjMVV60kty8C&pg=PA54 |location=New York |publisher=Morgan James Publishing |via=Google Books |pages=54–55 |isbn=978-1-60037-447-0 |accessdate=2024-01-17 }} Since then, people have come to rely on R&R Games for a multitude of fun, family-friendly games of superb quality.{{cite news |last=Morgenegg |first=Ryan |date=2014-10-31 |title=R&R Games Rockin Games Reviews Fall 2014 |url=https://www.deseret.com/2014/10/31/20551716/r-r-games-rockin-games-reviews-fall-2014 |newspaper=Deseret News |accessdate=2024-01-17 |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20240117083620/https://www.deseret.com/2014/10/31/20551716/r-r-games-rockin-games-reviews-fall-2014 |archivedate=2024-01-17 }}{{cite news |last=Morgenegg |first=Ryan |date=2018-02-26 |title=Game reviews: Rajas of the Ganges, Dragon Island and In or Out are three solid gaming experiences |url=https://www.deseret.com/2018/2/26/20626281/game-reviews-rajas-of-the-ganges-dragon-island-and-in-or-out-are-three-solid-gaming-experiences |newspaper=Deseret News |accessdate=2024-01-17 |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20240117083950/https://www.deseret.com/2018/2/26/20626281/game-reviews-rajas-of-the-ganges-dragon-island-and-in-or-out-are-three-solid-gaming-experiences |archivedate=2024-01-17 }}

DiLorenzo has said that his philosophy is two-fold. As a designer of treasure hunts, he also wanted to imbue his games with the “mystique of hidden treasure adventure and excitement.”{{Cite web|url=https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/great-big-table-talk-r-r-games-president-and-ceo/id521770491?i=1000318998165|title=Great Big Table Talk: R&R Games President and CEO Frank DiLorenzo at Gen Con 2014|website=Apple Podcasts}} R&R Games launched their first game, Riddles & Riches,{{Cite web|url=http://dreamwithboardgames.blogspot.com/2009/07/interview-with-frank-dilorenzo.html|title=Dream With Board Games: Interview with Frank DiLorenzo}} as a treasure hunt game designed as an investigation and exploration pursuit experience. But within the game, they hid an actual treasure hunt as well.{{Cite web|url=https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/ct-xpm-1998-12-02-9812020337-story.html|title=HARDLY BORED – Chicago Tribune|website=www.chicagotribune.com|date=2 December 1998 }} Since then, many – if not all - of R&R’s games include a hidden treasure hunt within the game.{{cite web |last1=DiLorenzo |first1=Frank |title=Frank & Dan DiLorenzo – Where Did Everyone Go?? |url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bEY7TVb4Ao |publisher=Double Exposure, Inc. |language=en |format=video |date=Oct 8, 2020}}{{Cite web|url=https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/52961/r-r-games-hidden-hunt|title=R & R games Hidden Hunt? | BGG|website=BoardGameGeek}}

DiLorenzo has said{{Cite web|url=http://dreamwithboardgames.blogspot.com/2009/07/interview-with-frank-dilorenzo.html|title=Interview with Frank DiLorenzo|website=Dream With Board Games}} that one of the primary puzzles revolves around what exactly what the letters in the term "R&R" represent. In many of his interviews, he’s told his fans that treasures and clues to the meaning of R&R have been secreted throughout many of their games, which R&R calls Hidden Hunts.{{Cite web|url=https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/great-big-table-talk-r-r-games-president-and-ceo/id521770491?i=1000318998165|title=Great Big Table Talk: R&R Games President and CEO Frank DiLorenzo at Gen Con 2014|website=Apple Podcasts}} All of these Hidden Hunts provide prizes to the people who solve them. Solving the hunts first often results in cash or other prizes and many have plenty of runner up prizes as well. Hundreds of clues have already been found. R&R states that some Hidden Hunts still remain unsolved, including what R&R stands for, and more Hunts are released each year{{Cite web|url=https://issuu.com/fahy-williamspublishing/docs/_2020_aroundthetable_winter_digimag|title=Around the Table Winter 2020 by Fahy-Williams Publishing - Issuu|website=issuu.com|date=28 January 2020 }}
