RMAS Magnet

RMAS Magnet (A114) was the eponymous Royal Navy Magnet-class degaussing ship. She was completed in 1979 by Cleland.{{Cite book|title=British Warships and Auxiliaries|author=Mike Crichley|publisher=Maritime Books|page=97|date=1982}}

As well as the Magnet, a sister ship, {{RMAS|Lodestone|A115|6}} was built by Cleland in 1980.

The Magnet class was developed to replace the {{sclass2|Ham|minesweeper}}s that had been converted for degaussing. They are 828 tons gross register tonnage (GRT) and have a top speed of {{convert|14|kn|lk=in}}. They measure {{convert|55|m|ftin}} long with a beam of {{convert|12|m|ftin}} and a draught of {{convert|4|m|ftin}}.
