Radicals for Capitalism: A Freewheeling History of the Modern American Libertarian Movement is a 2007 book about the history of 20th-century American libertarianism by journalist and Reason senior editor Brian Doherty.{{Cite news|url=http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/la-oew-cavanaugh14mar14,0,7043598.story |work=Los Angeles Times |title=You're welcome |first=Tim |last=Cavanaugh |date=March 14, 2007 |access-date=February 9, 2009}} He traces the evolution of the movement, as well as the life stories of Ayn Rand, Milton Friedman, Ludwig von Mises, F. A. Hayek, and Murray Rothbard, and details how they intertwined.
Doherty does not proceed strictly in chronological order, preferring instead to break up the action into short stories on central themes.{{cite web|url=http://www.mackinac.org/article.aspx?ID=8641 |date=June 14, 2007 |title=Book Review: Radicals for Capitalism |first=Isaac M. |last=Morehouse |publisher=Mackinac Center for Public Policy |access-date=February 9, 2009}}
