J. Ragnar Kamp2017 Brier Media Guide: Previous Rosters (born April 9, 1953) is a Swedish-American curler and World Champion. He won a gold medal at the 1977 World Curling Championships for Sweden.{{cite web|url=http://sports123.com/cur/mw.html |title=Curling – Men: World Championships |publisher=sports123|accessdate=3 April 2010}} After winning the Worlds, Kamp threatened to move to Canada, complaining of Sweden's 'high taxes' and 'negative outlook'.{{cite news|title=World champ performs here|date=October 17, 1977|page=37|newspaper=Vancouver Sun|url=https://www.newspapers.com/clip/46358090/the-vancouver-sun/|accessdate=March 8, 2020}} After the 1980 World Championships, Kamp did move to Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia,{{cite news|title=Curling's champions|date=April 9, 1983|page=D2|newspaper=Regina Leader-Post|url=https://www.newspapers.com/clip/45964743/the-leader-post/|accessdate=March 1, 2020}} and won two provincial championships, in 1984 and in 1989. He then moved to Ellsworth, Maine where he played in five U.S. national championships (2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004).

In 1978 he was inducted into the Swedish Curling Hall of Fame.
