Rakitovo ({{Langx|bg|Ракитово}} {{IPA|bg|rɐˈkitovo|}}) is a town in the Pazardzhik Province, Bulgaria. {{As of|2005}} the population was 8,952. It is located in the northern part of the Rhodopi mountains{{Cite book|title = Bulgaria (Other Places Travel Guide)|url = https://books.google.com/books?id=fQ8vWih-rqwC&pg=PA245|publisher = Other Places Publishing|date = 2012-01-01|isbn = 9780982261996|language = en|first1 = Leslie|last1 = Strnadel|first2 = Patrick|last2 = Erdley}} at 12 km to the east of Velingrad and 7 km to the southwest of the Batak Reservoir. There is timber industry in the town. People from the region grow crops, lavender, potatoes and barley.
