Ray Ashby (birth unknown) is a former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1960s. He played at representative level for Great Britain, and at club level for Liverpool City, Wigan,{{cite web|url=http://wigan.rlfans.com/readarticle.php?article_id=1822|title=Heritage Numbers - In Debut Order|publisher=wigan.rlfans.com|date=31 December 2017|accessdate=1 January 2018}} and Blackpool Borough, as a {{rlp|fb}}, or {{rlp|ce}}.

Playing career

Ashby started his professional career at Liverpool City. He returned to Wembley with Wigan the following year in the 1966 Challenge Cup final, but this time lost 2–21 to St Helens.
