George Raymond West (November 29, 1925 – February 17, 2016) was an American sound engineer. He won an Academy Award for Best Sound for the film Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.{{Cite web|url=http://www.oscars.org/oscars/ceremonies/1978 |title=The 50th Academy Awards (1978) Nominees and Winners |access-date=2011-10-05|work=oscars.org}} He worked on over 60 films between 1977 and 1993.

West has also done extensive work in television.
