The Red Bull RB14 was a Formula One racing car designed and constructed by Red Bull Racing to compete during the 2018 FIA Formula One World Championship. The car was driven by Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen,{{Cite news|url=https://www.fia.com/events/fia-formula-one-world-championship/season-2018/2018-f1-entry-list|title=2018 F1 Entry List|date=1 February 2018|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20180201202904/https://www.fia.com/events/fia-formula-one-world-championship/season-2018/2018-f1-entry-list|archive-date=1 February 2018|url-status=dead|publisher=Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile}} and made its competitive début at the 2018 Australian Grand Prix. Like its predecessors the RB12 and RB13, the RB14 used a Renault engine badged as a TAG Heuer.

The RB14 was the last car built by Red Bull Racing to use customer Renault engines as the team switched to Honda power in {{F1|2019}}.{{cite news|url=https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/136852/red-bull-announces-2019-honda-engine-deal|title=Red Bull drops Renault for 2019 Honda Formula 1 engine deal|first=Andrew|last=van Leeuwen|work=autosport.com|publisher=Motorsport Network|date=19 June 2018|access-date=19 June 2018}}

Design and development

Following difficult pre-season tests in {{F1|2016}} and {{F1|2017}} in which the team attended the first tests with older-model cars, Red Bull announced that they would launch the RB14 earlier in the year than they had with the RB12 and RB13.{{cite news|url=https://www.speedcafe.com/2017/11/09/red-bull-move-rb14-launch-forward-five-days/|title=Red Bull to move RB14 launch forward by five days|date=9 November 2017|work=Speedcafe|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20171114193825/https://www.speedcafe.com/2017/11/09/red-bull-move-rb14-launch-forward-five-days/|archive-date=14 November 2017|url-status=dead}} Where previous cars had been delayed to allow the team more time to develop the chassis in their factory, the team brought the launch of the RB14 forward to gather more on-track data. Team principal Christian Horner justified the decision by revealing that analysis of the team's performances in 2016 and 2017 showed that while the chassis were competitive by the end of the season, the decision to delay their respective launches had resulted in an uncompetitive car at the start of the championship.

The RB14 made its public début in February. Daniel Ricciardo completed a shakedown of the car at the Silverstone Circuit one week before pre-season testing began.{{cite news|url=https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/134434/new-red-bull-hits-track-at-silverstone|title=Red Bull F1 launch: New RB14 hits track for Silverstone shakedown|first=Jonathan|last=Noble|work=Autosport|publisher=Motorsport Network|date=19 February 2018|access-date=20 February 2018}}

Ricciardo and Verstappen competed in the United States Grand Prix wearing special cowboy-styled race suits as a special tribute to Austin and Texas.{{Cite web|url=https://www.grandprix247.com/2018/10/21/max-and-daniel-to-race-with-cowboy-race-suits-in-texas/|title=Max and Daniel to race with cowboy race suits in Texas|website=grandprix247.com|date=21 October 2018|access-date=4 December 2021}}
