Helcogramma steinitzi, known commonly as the red triplefin, is a species of triplefin blenny in the genus Helcogramma.{{Fishbase|Helcogramma|steinitzi|month=April|year=2019}} It was described by Eugenie Clark in 1980.{{Cof record|spid=9430|title = Helcogramma steinitzi|access-date=26 May 2019}} The specific name honours the marine biologist and herpetologist Heinz Steinitz (1909-1971) of the Hebrew University, Jerusalem.{{cite web | url = http://www.etyfish.org/blenniiformes1/ | title = Order BLENNIIFORMES: Families TRIPTERYGIIDAE and DACTYLOSCOPIDAE | work = The ETYFish Project Fish Name Etymology Database | author1 = Christopher Scharpf | author2 = Kenneth J.
