Vernon Reginald Pinkney (born May 27, 1955) is an American former professional football defensive back. He played five seasons in the National Football League (NFL), two with the Detroit Lions and three with the Baltimore Colts.{{Cite web|url=https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/P/PinkRe20.htm|title = Reggie Pinkney Stats|website = Pro-Football-Reference.com}} Pickney was selected by the Lions in the sixth round of the 1977 NFL draft, after an All-Conference career at East Carolina University.

Pinkney was born St. Louis, Missouri, but grew up in Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
