{{short description|Films that are considered remakes of Alfred Hitchcock's}}

North by Northwest and Saboteur are also considered by some scholars to be unofficial remakes of Hitchcock's English espionage thriller The 39 Steps.{{cite web |last1=Sauveur |first1=Trace |title=The 39 Steps: Alfred Hitchcock’s Fun, Flighty Trial Run of North By Northwest |url=https://www.pastemagazine.com/movies/alfred-hitchcock/the-39-steps-alfred-hitchcock-north-by-northwest |website=Paste Magazine |access-date=19 July 2024}}{{cite web |last1=Eberwein |first1=Robert |title=PART ONE—NEXT OF KIN: REMAKES AND HOLLYWOOD. |url=https://publishing.cdlib.org/ucpressebooks/view?docId=ft1j49n6d3&doc.view=content&chunk.id=d0e500&toc.depth=100&anchor.id=0&brand=ucpress |website=publishing.cdlib.org |access-date=19 July 2024}}{{cite web |last1=Bligh |first1=William Oliver McLean |title=Remaking The 39 Steps : Hitchcock's screenwriting and identification |url=http://hdl.handle.net/10453/127923 |website=Open Publications of UTS Scholars |publisher=UTS |access-date=19 July 2024 |language=en-AU |date=2018}} This list does not include sequels (such as the films that followed the 1960 version of Psycho).
