Renault Kerax

The Renault Kerax is a medium- and heavy-duty truck manufactured by Renault Trucks, aimed at the construction industry, and is available as a rigid body or tractor configuration. Specifications

Since 2009 the Kerax is powered by the DXi11 11.1 L 6-cylinder diesel engine[http://www.roadtransport.com/ROADTESTSRESULTS/98/2/renault-kerax-highway.html Roadtransport.com] which is Euro V compliant, and available in three tuning configurations: {{convert|380|bhp|kW PS|0|abbr=on}}/{{convert|1800|Nm|lb.ft|0|abbr=on}}, {{convert|430|bhp|kW PS|0|abbr=on}}/{{convert|2040|Nm|lb.ft|0|abbr=on}} and {{convert|460|bhp|kW PS|0|abbr=on}}/{{convert|2200|Nm|lb.ft|0|abbr=on}}. There is a choice between a 16-speed manual gearbox, or an automated 12-speed gearbox.

Prior to 2009, the Kerax was powered by Euro III DXi11 10.8 L engines producing {{convert|330|bhp|kW PS|0|abbr=on}}/{{convert|1650|Nm|lb.ft|0|abbr=on}}, {{convert|380|bhp|kW PS|0|abbr=on}}/{{convert|1850|Nm|lb.ft|0|abbr=on}} and {{convert|440|bhp|kW PS|0|abbr=on}}/{{convert|2000|Nm|lb.ft|0|abbr=on}}.

Suspension varies depending on model; parabolic on the 26t version, and semi-elliptical for the 32t version. There are three cab options, all of which are {{convert|2300|mm|in|1|abbr=on}} wide, but their length varies between {{convert|1600|mm|in|1|abbr=on}} and {{convert|2200|mm|in|1|abbr=on}} long. The wheelbase can vary between {{convert|3200|mm|in|1|abbr=on}} and {{convert|6000|mm|in|1|abbr=on}}.

Mack Defense Kerax 8x8

Mack Trucks sells a rebadged Kerax as a military logistics and tactical truck. Dakar Rally
