Reperi
Reperi was an ancient Roman town of Roman North Africa, in the Roman province of Mauretania Caesariensis. The exact location of the ancient town is now unknown, but is surmised to have been in northern Algeria.[http://www.gcatholic.org/dioceses/former/t1454.htm Titular Episcopal See of Reperi] at GCatholic.org. The town seems to have lasted until the Muslim conquest of the Maghreb.
The town was the seat of an ancient bishopric of the Roman Catholic Church called Dioecesis ReperitanaStefano Antonio Morcelli, Africa christiana, Volume I, (Brescia, 1816), p. 261. which survives as a titular bishopric.Pius Bonifacius Gams, Series episcoporum Ecclesiae Catholicae, (Leipzig, 1931), p. 468.[http://www.catholic-hierarchy.org/diocese/d2r13.html Bishopric entry ] at www.catholic-hierarchy.org. Bishop Geliano, Reperi attended the synod assembled in Carthage in 484 by Vandal King, Huneric, after which the bishop was exiled. The current bishop is George James Rassas, of Chicago..{{cite news|work=Catholic-Hierarchy.org|title=Bishop George James Rassas|url=http://www.catholic-hierarchy.org/bishop/brassas.html}}
