Resistive plate chamber

File:RPC.png

A Resistive plate chamber (RPC) is a particle detector widely used in high energy physics. They are used for detecting muons in most of the modern experiments including ATLAS, CMS, and BES III.{{cite web|title=ATLAS Detector|url=https://atlas.cern/discover/detector/muon-spectrometer|date=2015-09-08}}{{cite web|title=CMS Detector|url=https://cms.cern/detector/detecting-muons}}{{cite journal|title=Physics at BES-III|journal=International Journal of Modern Physics A|volume=A24|issue=1|arxiv=0809.1869|bibcode=2008arXiv0809.1869A|last1=Asner|first1=D.
