Rex William Hamilton (6 October 1928 – 30 December 2010) was a New Zealand sport shooter. At the 1982 Commonwealth Games in Brisbane, Hamilton won the silver medal in the open 50 metres free pistol pairs, with Barrie Wickins,{{cite web |url=https://thecgf.com/results/team/4513 |title=Shooting 50m free pistol (pair) – men Brisbane 1982 |year=2018 |publisher=Commonwealth Games Federation |access-date=27 January 2022}} and the pair combined to finish fourth in the open 10 metres air pistol pairs.{{cite web |url=https://thecgf.com/results/team/4588 |title=Shooting 10m air pistol (pair) – men Brisbane 1982 |year=2018 |publisher=Commonwealth Games Federation |access-date=27 January 2022}} In the individual events, Hamilton placed fifth in the open 50 metres free pistol, 10th in the open 10 metres air pistol, and 16th in the open 25 metres centre-fire pistol.
