Reza Abbaschian is an Iranian/American engineer, currently the William R. Johnson, Jr. Family Professor, Distinguished Professor of Mechanical Engineering and the former Dean of the Bourns College of Engineering{{Cite web|date=March 20, 2018|first=J. D.|last=Warren|title=Engineering college interim dean to become dean at Drexel University College of Engineering|url=https://ucrtoday.ucr.edu/52331|access-date=2020-10-29|website=UCR Today|language=en-US}} and, also formerly the Vladimir Grodsky Professor of Materials Science at University of Florida.
