Rhondes is a genus of New Caledonian jumping spiders that was first described by Eugène Louis Simon in 1901.{{cite book| last=Simon| first=E| year=1901| title=Histoire naturelle des araignées| publisher=Roret | publication-place=Paris| doi=10.5962/bhl.title.51973| author-link=Eugène Simon}} It was briefly considered a synonym of Hasarius,{{cite journal| last=Żabka| first=M.| year=1988| title=Salticidae (Araneae) of Oriental, Australian and Pacific regions, III| journal=Annales Zoologici, Warszawa| volume=41| page=423| author-link=Marek Michał Żabka}} but was revalidated after the results of a 2008 molecular study.
