Richard Bright (1822 – 28 February 1878){{cite web|title=James Adam Gordon Esq.|url=https://www.ucl.ac.uk/lbs/person/view/44878|publisher=University College London|accessdate=24 October 2015}} was an English politician.
He was born the son of Robert Bright and the brother of colonial businessman Charles Edward Bright and General Sir Robert Onesiphorus Bright.
He was Conservative member of parliament (MP) for East Somerset{{cite book|last=Bruce|first=Alison|title=Billington: Victorian Executioner|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=IEo7AwAAQBAJ&pg=PT33|year=2011|publisher=History Press Limited|isbn=978-0-7524-7406-9|page=33}} from 1868 to 1878.
