Richard Zoglin (born August 8, 1948){{citation needed|date = May 2021}} is an American journalist and author.
Career
Zoglin wrote about entertainment for Time{{cite book|last=Naremore|first=James|title=More than night: film noir in its contexts|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=Z2Auji4PF2IC&pg=PA163|accessdate=May 6, 2011|year=2008|publisher=University of California Press|isbn=978-0-520-25402-2|pages=163–}} for over 20 years. He is the author of Hope: Entertainer of the Century, a 2014 biography of comedian Bob Hope.
In 2008, he published Comedy at the Edge: How Stand-up in the 1970s Changed America, describing Lenny Bruce and the influence of the generation of stand-ups{{cite book|last=Smith|first=Jacob|title=Spoken Word: Postwar American Phonograph Cultures|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=cSU1e-XStVcC&pg=PA155|accessdate=May 6, 2011|date=February 7, 2011|publisher=University of California Press|isbn=978-0-520-26704-6|pages=155–}} who followed him and elaborated on his style.
Education

Personal life
Zoglin was married to Charla Krupp on August 1, 1992, until her death from breast cancer on January 23, 2012. Charla Zoglin was an entertainment editor for Glamour. Zoglin's father was the head of Zoglin Brothers Builders in Kansas City.
