The ring nickel (separate varieties known as J-1724, J-1725, and J-1742{{Cite book|title=United States Pattern Coins|last=Judd|first=J. Hewitt|author-link=J. Hewitt Judd|year=2009|editor-last=Bowers|editor-first=Q. David|editor-link=Q. David Bowers|edition=9th}}) was a United States pattern coin with a face value of five cents.
