Robert Howe (1861 – 2 April 1915) was an Australian politician. He was an Australian Labor Party member of the Australian House of Representatives from 1910 until his death in office in 1915.
Howe was born in Newcastle in England, where he received a primary education. He migrated to Australia in 1882 and became a patternmaker and engineer, working for many years at the Cockatoo Island Dockyard. He was Sydney district secretary of the Amalgamated Society of Engineers, and represented the union before the Industrial Court in an early award inquiry.{{cite web|last=Carr|first=Adam|title=Australian Election Archive|work=Psephos, Adam Carr's Election Archive|url=http://psephos.adam-carr.net/countries/a/australia|year=2008|accessdate=2008-06-06}}{{cite news |url=http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article92566406 |title=OBITUARY |newspaper=Kalgoorlie Miner |volume=21 |issue=5069 |location=Western Australia |date=3 April 1915 |accessdate=4 February 2017 |page=5 |via=National Library of Australia}}{{cite news |url=http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article15148464 |title=DALLEY.—MR. He was elected to the Australian House of Representatives as the Labor member for Dalley at the 1910 election, defeating the sitting MP, William Wilks. He was re-elected at the 1913 election after fending off a challenge to his Labor preselection from Thomas Storey, but had a nervous breakdown after the election and missed the first session of that term of parliament. He recovered for some time, but became ill again in late 1914, and died at his Balmain house in April 1915.{{cite news |url=http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article138009561 |title=Federal Member for Dalley. |newspaper=The Dungog Chronicle: Durham and Gloucester Advertiser |location=New South Wales|date=6 April 1915 |accessdate=4 February 2017 |page=2 |via=National Library of Australia}}{{cite news |url=http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article229675495 |title=DALLEY ELECTION. |newspaper=The Sun |issue=942 |location=Sydney|date=3 July 1913 |accessdate=4 February 2017 |page=10 (FINAL EXTRA) |via=National Library of Australia}}{{cite news |url=http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article114909784 |title=ELECTION FIGURES. |newspaper=Riverine Herald |issue=11,312 |location=New South Wales|date=12 May 1910 |accessdate=4 February 2017 |page=4 |via=National Library of Australia}}{{cite news |url=http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article15463119 |title=DALLEY LABOUR BALLOT. |newspaper=The Sydney Morning Herald |issue=23,657 |date=5 November 1913 |accessdate=4 February 2017 |page=15 |via=National Library of Australia}}{{cite news |url=http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article229342317 |title=CHAOTIC LABOR LEAGUE. |newspaper=The Sun |issue=1040 |location=Sydney|date=25 October 1913 |accessdate=4 February 2017 |page=9|edition=FINAL SPORTING |via=National Library of Australia}}
