Robert Pennywell (November 6, 1954 – October 7, 2022) was an American professional football player who played linebacker for four seasons for the National Football League (NFL)'s Atlanta Falcons,{{cite web|url=https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/P/PennRo20.htm|title=Robert Pennywell|website=pro-football-reference.com|access-date=July 3, 2016}} and two seasons for the Michigan Panthers of the United States Football League (USFL).{{cite web|url=https://www.profootballarchives.com/playerp/penn01600.html|title=Robert Pennywell|website=pro-football-archives.com|access-date=January 28, 2022}}
His cousin Carlos Pennywell also played for the NFL.
