Robert Arthur Stern {{post-nominals|country=GBR|FBA}} (February 1962 – 21 August 2024) was a British philosopher who served as professor of philosophy at the University of Sheffield. He was an expert on the history of philosophy, particularly G. W. F. Hegel and Immanuel Kant. His later research focused on the Danish ethicist Knud Ejler Løgstrup.
Life and career
Stern was born in February 1962.{{cite web|title=Stern, Robert, 1962–...|url=http://viaf.org/viaf/69006005/#Stern,_Robert,_1962-....|publisher=VIAF|access-date=13 April 2014}} He graduated from St John's College, Cambridge, and then became a research fellow there.
