Robert FitzEdith, feudal lord of Okehampton (1093–1172) was an illegitimate son of Henry I of England and Edith Forne, who was a mistress of Henry I.{{cite book|last=Fleming|first=Donald F.|last2=Pope|first2=Janet M.|title=Henry I and the Anglo-Norman world: studies in memory of C. Robert married Matilda d'Avranches,{{cite book|last=Harper-Bill|first=Christopher|title=Anglo-Norman Studies XVIII: Proceedings of the Battle Conference 1995|year=1996|publisher=Boydell & Brewer Ltd|location=Suffolk, UK|isbn=978-0-85115-666-8|page=43}} heiress of the feudal barony of Okehampton, Devon, and widow of William de Courcy.
