Named after Arthur N. Roberts, a five-term mayor who died in 1986,{{cite web|url=http://www.fishing-derby.org|title=Fishing Derby|accessdate=2008-07-06}} it is the centerpiece of Roberts Lake Park,{{gnis|1799647|Roberts Lake Park}} a city park.
