The Rochester Basin, at {{convert | 802 | ft | m}}, is the deepest part of Lake Ontario. |quote = Analysis of the single channel seismic sleeve gun data supports the geological interpretation that the ridges in eastern Lake Ontario are glacial deposits of subglacial diamicton resting on an undeformed bedrock surface. Given other information revealing the streamline shape and finite length (<10 km) of the ridges (Mayer et al., 1994), this analysis supports the interpretation of Hutchinson et al. (1993) that the ridges are drumlins.
