The Archdiocese of Port-au-Prince ({{langx|la|Archidioecesis Portus Principis}}; {{langx|fr|Archidiocèse de Port-au-Prince}}; {{langx|ht|Achidyosèz Pòtoprens}}) is a metropolitan archdiocese, responsible for the suffragan dioceses of Jacmel, Jérémie, Anse-à-Veau and Miragoâne and Les Cayes. There are approximately 668,700 Catholics in the archdiocese and the clergy have been primarily French since its inception in 1861.

The archdiocese was a vacant see following the death of Archbishop Joseph Serge Miot, who was one of the many casualties of the 12 January 2010 earthquake when the Archdiocesan Chancery building collapsed.{{cite web |url=http://www.catholic.org/international/international_story.php?id=35181 |title=Breaking News: Devastating 7.0 Earthquake Hammers {{sic|nolink=y|Belea|gured|expected=Beleaguered}} Island Nation of Haiti |author=Deacon Keith Fournier |date=13 January 2010 |publisher=Catholic Online |access-date=13 January 2010}}{{cite news| url=https://www.foxnews.com/story/haiti-archbishop-killed-in-quake-as-churches-cathedral-reduced-to-rubble| title=Haiti Archbishop Killed in Quake as Churches, Cathedral Reduced to Rubble| date=13 January 2010| access-date=13 January 2010| work=Fox News| archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20100116170127/http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,582942,00.html| archive-date=2010-01-16| url-status=live}} The archdiocese's chancellor was also reportedly killed.

On the one-year anniversary of the disaster, Pope Benedict XVI named Guire Poulard - who had been the Bishop of Les Cayes - as the new Archbishop of Port-au-Prince. At the same time he named Glandas Marie Erick Toussaint as the auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese.{{cite web | last = Holdren | first = Alan | title = On earthquake anniversary, Pope appoints archbishop, sends $1.2 million to Haiti | publisher = Catholic News Agency | url = https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/21723/on-earthquake-anniversary-pope-appoints-archbishop-sends-$12-million-to-haiti | access-date = 2011-01-17}}
