Sir Rowland Ricketts Phillips (30 September 1904 – 11 October 1976) was a Jamaican judge. Early life and education
Rowland Ricketts Phillips was born in Montego Bay, Jamaica, on September 30, 1904. He was the son of George Augustus Phillips.{{Who's Who | title=Phillips, Hon. Sir Rowland | id = U158466 | type = was | doi=10.1093/ww/9780199540884.013.U158466 | access-date = 2020-10-01 }}
Phillips attended Cornwall College.
Legal career

Rowland Phillips was appointed Resident Magistrate in {{date?}}. He was elevated to serve as a Puisne Judge of the Supreme Court of Guyana on January 27, 1954.{{London Gazette|issue=40090|date=February 2, 1954|page=719|supp=y}} He was named a Puisne Judge of the Supreme Court of Jamaica on October 23, 1959.{{London Gazette|issue=41851|date=October 23, 1959|page=6693|supp=y}} Phillips was sworn in as Acting Governor General on August 2, 1967 by then Governor General Sir Clifford Campbell.{{cite news|url=https://nljdigital.nlj.gov.jm/items/show/5615|title=Acting G.G. Personal life
In 1947, Phillips married Enid Daphne Limonius.
