Marriage and palace life
In October 1366 (15th year reign of Gongmin), he took Wang as his Queen Consort since he didn't have any issue from his first marriage.{{cite web|url=http://db.history.go.kr/KOREA/search/searchResult.do?sort=levelId&dir=ASC&limit=20&page=1&pre_page=1&codeIds=PERIOD-0-3&searchTermImages=%EC%9D%B5%EB%B9%84+%ED%95%9C%EC%94%A8&searchKeywordType=BI&searchKeywordMethod=EQ&searchKeyword=%EC%9D%B5%EB%B9%84+%ED%95%9C%EC%94%A8&searchKeywordConjunction=AND#searchDetail/kr/kr_041r_0020_0100_0040/6/0/6/r|script-title=ko:왕씨와 안씨를 각기 익비와 정비로 책봉하다|website=db.history.go.kr|access-date=July 5, 2021|language=ko}} Then, in December, she became Ik-Bi ({{Korean|hangul=익비|hanja=益妃|labels=no}}) and was given the new surname Han ({{Korean|hangul=한씨|hanja=韓氏|labels=no}}).{{cite web|url=https://www.culturecontent.com/content/contentView.do?search_div=CP_THE&search_div_id=CP_THE003&cp_code=cp0706&index_id=cp07060225&content_id=cp070602250001&print=Y|script-title=ko:권력의 희생양이 된 공민왕의 후비들|website=www.culturecontent.com|access-date=July 5, 2021|language=ko}} Later in May 1367, along with Consort Ahn, they went to Gorari ({{Korean|hangul=고라리|hanja=高羅里|labels=no}}) and watched Gyeoggu Game ({{Korean|hangul=격구놀|labels=no}}).
However, in 1373 (21st year reign of King Gongmin), his first wife, Princess Noguk died which reportedly mentally unbalanced him. He then ordered members of the Jajewi ('Noble Youth Guards'), an elite group of young and handsome men, to have sex with his consorts to impregnate them.{{cite web|url=http://db.history.go.kr/KOREA/search/searchResult.do?sort=levelId&dir=ASC&limit=20&page=1&pre_page=1&codeIds=PERIOD-0-3&searchTermImages=%EC%9D%B5%EB%B9%84+%ED%95%9C%EC%94%A8&searchKeywordType=BI&searchKeywordMethod=EQ&searchKeyword=%EC%9D%B5%EB%B9%84+%ED%95%9C%EC%94%A8&searchKeywordConjunction=AND#searchDetail/kr/kr_043r_0020_0100_0010/6/1/6/r|script-title=ko:자제위를 설치해 온갖 불륜을 저지르게 하다|website=db.history.go.kt|access-date=July 5, 2021|language=ko}} At this time, Gracious Consort Yi, Consort Yeom and Consort Ahn refused the order. Ik-Bi also refused it, but Gongmin threatened her with a sword so she was forced to have relationships with Han Ahn ({{Korean|hangul=한안|labels=no}}), Hong Ryun ({{Korean|hangul=홍륜|labels=no}}), Gwon Jin ({{Korean|hangul=권진|labels=no}}), Hong Gwan ({{Korean|hangul=홍관|labels=no}}) and No Seon ({{Korean|hangul=노선|labels=no}}) under Gongmin's watch. It is written in the Life of Hong Ryoun (Hong Ryun) that in 1374, the eunuch Choi Man-Seng ({{Korean|hangul=최만생|labels=no}}) reported to King Gongmin that Consort Ik was in her fifth month of pregnancy. The King was greatly pleased by this, and asked who was the father. When he learned that it was Hong Ryun, he told the eunuch that he would now have to kill him and the entire group of Jajewi men in order to keep the secret of her baby's paternity.{{cite web|url=http://db.history.go.kr/KOREA/search/searchResult.do?sort=levelId&dir=ASC&limit=20&page=1&pre_page=1&codeIds=PERIOD-0-3&searchTermImages=%EC%9D%B5%EB%B9%84+%ED%95%9C%EC%94%A8&searchKeywordType=BI&searchKeywordMethod=EQ&searchKeyword=%EC%9D%B5%EB%B9%84+%ED%95%9C%EC%94%A8&searchKeywordConjunction=AND#searchDetail/kr/kr_131r_0010_0080_0020/6/5/6/r|script-title=ko:익비의 임신 사실을 확인한 공민왕이 홍륜의 주살을 계획하다|website=db.history.go.kr|access-date=July 5, 2021|language=ko}} Choi reported this to Hong's group and later, on 22 September, they assassinated Gongmin in his sleep. Hong was eventually assassinated by Yi In-im ({{Korean|hangul=이인임|labels=no}}) related forces and then Ik-Bi gave birth to their daughter on 1 October (lunar calendar).
In 1390 (2nd year reign of King Gongyang), the former consort (Ik-Bi) was given land by the king after she raised his youngest daughter, Princess Gyeonghwa at her own mansion.{{Citation needed|date=March 2024}}
