The domestic teams with a place in the United Rugby Championship, namely the {{Rut|Blue Bulls}}, {{Rut|Western Province}}, {{Rut|Sharks (Currie Cup)}} and {{Rut|Golden Lions}} are excluded from the SA Cup.
