E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase SHPRH is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the SHPRH gene.{{cite journal | vauthors = Sood R, Makalowska I, Galdzicki M, Hu P, Eddings E, Robbins CM, Moses T, Namkoong J, Chen S, Trent JM | title = Cloning and characterization of a novel gene, SHPRH, encoding a conserved putative protein with SNF2/helicase and PHD-finger domains from the 6q24 region | journal = Genomics | volume = 82 | issue = 2 | pages = 153–61 | date = August 2003 | pmid = 12837266 | doi = 10.1016/S0888-7543(03)00121-6 | url = https://zenodo.org/record/1260099 }}{{cite web | title = Entrez Gene: SHPRH SNF2 histone linker PHD RING helicase| url = https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?Db=gene&Cmd=ShowDetailView&TermToSearch=257218}}

Function

SHPRH is a ubiquitously expressed protein that contains motifs characteristics of several DNA repair proteins, transcription factors, and helicases.[supplied by OMIM]

SHPRH is a nucleosome-stimulated ATPase and a nucleosome-E3 ubiquitin ligase.{{cite journal |last1=Brühl |first1=J |last2=Trautwein |first2=J |last3=Schäfer |first3=A |last4=Linne |first4=U |last5=Bouazoune |first5=K |title=The DNA repair protein SHPRH is a nucleosome-stimulated ATPase and a nucleosome-E3 ubiquitin ligase. |journal=Epigenetics & Chromatin |date=21 August 2019 |volume=12 |issue=1 |pages=52 |doi=10.1186/s13072-019-0294-5 |pmid=31434570 |pmc=6702750 |doi-access=free }}
