STRO-1
STRO-1 (Stro-1 in mouse, rat, etc.) is a gene for a protein marker of mesenchymal stem cells (MSC). Molecular mass of Stro-1 is 75kD. The name STRO-1 is firstly proposed in the 1990s' as the name of an anti-CD34+-mesenchymal-stem-cell monoclonal antibody. The name "STRO-1" consists of STRO, which means mesenchyme, and "1", which means it's the first isolated monoclonal antibody to identify mesenchymal stem cells. The term "STRO-1" then was applied to the antigen for this antibody. In human body, STRO-1 exists in many organs, like lung and liver.{{cite journal|last1=Lin|first1=Guiting|last2=Liu|first2=Gang|last3=Banie|first3=Lia|last4=Wang|first4=Guifang|last5=Ning|first5=Hongxiu|last6=Lue|first6=Tom F.|last7=Lin|first7=Ching-Shwun|title=Tissue Distribution of Mesenchymal Stem Cell Marker Stro-1|journal=Stem Cells and Development|date=October 2011|volume=20|issue=10|pages=1747–1752|doi=10.1089/scd.2010.0564|pmid=21208041|pmc=3182037}}{{cite journal|last1=Ning|first1=H|last2=Lin|first2=G|last3=Lue|first3=TF|last4=Lin|first4=CS|title=Mesenchymal stem cell marker Stro-1 is a 75 kd endothelial antigen.|journal=Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications|date=23 September 2011|volume=413|issue=2|pages=353–7|doi=10.1016/j.bbrc.2011.08.104|pmid=21903091|pmc=3183308}}{{cite web|url=http://www.abcam.com/stro1-antibody-stro-1-ab214086.html|title=Anti-STRO1 antibody [STRO-1]|publisher=Abcam|access-date=2018-02-13}}
