Sakhigopal or Satyabadi is a town and Notified Area Council in Puri district in the Indian state of Odisha.
About
Sakhigopal is one of the Hindu pilgrimage centres in Odisha for the Sakhigopal Temple. Earlier, Sakhigopal village was under Satyabadi Block which was spread over an area of 282.34 km2. According to the 2011 Census, Satyabadi Community Block had a population of 1,96,136 with 99,599 (50.8%) male and 96,537 (49.2%) female population. There are a total of 43,350 households. Followers of Hinduism form the majority of the population, while Muslims and Christians are a small minority.
