Life and career
Wheeler was born in Winter Haven, Florida, the daughter of Irving, a lawyer, and Carolyn Wheeler, a singer,{{Cite book|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=q11OAAAAIBAJ&pg=PA31|title=Correction|work=Lakeland Ledger|date=August 13, 1998|access-date=December 23, 2021|via=Google Books}} {{Open access}} and has three brothers. She first acted on stage at age nine. She graduated from Winter Haven High School, and later attended Queens University of Charlotte, North Carolina. After the series ended, Wheeler guest-starred in the television series Spin City.
