Salvia angulata is a herbaceous perennial native to the Caribbean coast from Panama through Colombia to Venezuela. It grows on the sides of streams and in wet forests, at {{convert|450|to|1500|m|ft|abbr=on}} elevation.

S. angulata reaches {{convert|1|m|ft|abbr=on}} high, with ovate or subrhomboid leaves. The inflorescence of terminal racemes is {{convert|8|to|15|cm|in|abbr=on}} long, with 10–15 verticillasters.
