Sam Brenegan (born Olaf Selmar Brenegan{{cite web|url=http://www.baseball-almanac.com/players/player.php?p=brenesa01|title=Sam Brenegan Stats|publisher=Baseball-Almanac.com|access-date=2011-04-09}}) was a Major League Baseball catcher. He was a member of the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1914.{{cite web|url=https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/b/brenesa01.shtml|title=Sam Brenegan|publisher=Baseball-Reference.com|access-date=2011-04-09}} During his one and only game, Brenegan was hit in the hand while catching, which allowed a baserunner to move from second to third.
