Sam James Howard (born March 5, 1993) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Colorado Rockies and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Amateur career
Howard attended Cartersville High School in Cartersville, Georgia. Out of high school, the Chicago Cubs selected Howard in the 48th round of the 2011 MLB draft. Professional career

Howard was invited by the Rockies to 2017 spring training. Howard began the 2018 season with Albuquerque. He also had a 5.06 ERA in 21 games started for Albuquerque.
