Sam McFarlane (born 5 December 1975) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with North Melbourne in the Australian Football League (AFL).{{cite book|last1=Holmesby|first1=Russell|last2=Main|first2=Jim|title=The Encyclopedia Of AFL Footballers| publisher=BAS Publishing|year=2007|isbn=9781920910785}}

McFarlane was a member of the Subiaco team that contested the 1995 West Australian Football League Grand Final, which they lost to West Perth.{{cite web|url=http://www.wafl.com.au/players/view/42| title=Sam McFarlane (Subiaco)| publisher=WAFL Online}}

A wingman, McFarlane was initially recruited by Fremantle, in the 1994 National Draft, but was delisted without playing a senior league game.{{cite book|last=Lovett, Michael|title=AFL 2004 - The Official Statistical History Of The AFL| publisher=AFL Publishing|year=2004|isbn=0-9580300-5-7}} He was then selected by North Melbourne with pick 33 in the 1995 National Draft. He made his debut in North Melbourne's round six win over Geelong at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in the 1996 AFL season and also played the following round, against the West Coast Eagles at Subiaco Oval.{{cite web |url=http://afltables.com/afl/stats/players/S/Sam_McFarlane.html |title=AFL Tables: Sam McFarlane |website=afltables.com}} They were his only two appearances in what was a premiership year for North Melbourne.
