Samuel Troy Pellom (born October 2, 1951) is an American former professional basketball player born in Wilmington, North Carolina.{{cite news|last=Hooks|first=Jerry|title=Leland star Pellom makes Hawks roster|url=https://news.google.com/newspapers?id=DccsAAAAIBAJ&sjid=PhMEAAAAIBAJ&pg=6115,2060545&hl=en|access-date=28 September 2010|newspaper=Star-News|date=10 October 1979}} The 6'9" forward-center played professionally for the Atlanta Hawks and the Milwaukee Bucks of the NBA{{cite web|title=University at Buffalo, athletics|url=http://www.ubathletics.buffalo.edu/news/pros.shtml#mbasketball|work=University at Buffalo|access-date=11 July 2010}} and played college basketball for the Buffalo Bulls, and was the first player from UB's basketball team to play in the NBA. Pellom also played for the Washington Generals, the team that plays the Harlem Globetrotters.
