The Samara Mosque ({{langx|ru|Самарская соборная мечеть}}) in Samara is one of the largest mosques in Russia.{{cite web|url=http://samara.onfoot.ru/sights/cities/42.html|url-status=dead|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20160711141245/samara.onfoot.ru/sights/cities/42.html|archive-date=2016-07-11|title=Соборная мечеть Самарской области}} It was built in the late 1990s in red brick. The main dome is 13.5 meters in diameter. The minaret rises to a height of 67 meters.{{Cite web|url=http://gubernya63.ru/dostoprimechatelnosti/architecture/architecture_225.html|title = Соборная мечеть}} The building was designed by Rasim Walshin, an architect from Samara. There is an apple orchard by the walls. The New Mosque should not be confused with the pre-revolutionary mosque dating back to 1891.
