Samuel Ball (9 January 1933 – 9 December 2009) was an Australian researcher and academic in the field of education.{{Cite web |last=Spearritt |first=Don |date=2010-01-31 |title=Supremo in practice of education |url=https://www.smh.com.au/national/supremo-in-practice-of-education-20100131-n6f2.html |access-date=2024-12-02 |website=The Sydney Morning Herald |language=en}} He was employed by ETS (Educational Testing Service) in Princeton, New Jersey where he conducted research and carried out several major program evaluation studies.
