Scandium(III) hydroxide is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula {{chem2|Sc(OH)3}}, the trivalent hydroxide of scandium. It is an amphoteric compound.{{cite journal|last1=Moeller|first1=Therald.|last2=Kremers|first2=Howard E.|title=The Basicity Characteristics of Scandium, Yttrium, and the Rare Earth Elements.|journal=Chemical Reviews|volume=37|issue=1|year=1945|pages=97–159|issn=0009-2665|doi=10.1021/cr60116a003}} It is slightly soluble in water, and its saturated solution (pH = 7.85) contains {{chem2|Sc(OH)3}} and a small amount of {{chem2|Sc(OH)2+}}. The solubility of scandium(III) hydroxide in water is 0.0279 mol/L. It will convert to ScO(OH) after aging, greatly reducing the solubility (0.0008 mol/L).{{cite journal|last1=Orlov|first1=Yu.
