Sceptea is a moth genus in the family Autostichidae.[http://ftp.funet.fi/pub/sci/bio/life/insecta/lepidoptera/ditrysia/gelechioidea/autostichidae/symmocinae/sceptea/ funet.fi] Its name comes from the Greek {{lang|grc|σκεπτέα}} meaning "to be considered".
