Production

Design

The Seafarer 37 is a recreational keelboat, built predominantly of fiberglass, with wood trim. It has a masthead sloop rig, a raked stem, a slightly reverse transom, a skeg-mounted rudder controlled by a wheel and a fixed fin keel or optional shoal draft keel. It displaces {{convert|16500|lb|kg|0|abbr=on}} and carries {{convert|6675|lb|kg|0|abbr=on}} of lead ballast.

The boat has a draft of {{convert|6.25|ft|m|abbr=on}} with the standard keel and {{convert|5.00|ft|m|abbr=on}} with the optional shoal draft keel.

The boat is fitted with an inboard engine for docking and maneuvering. The fuel tank holds {{convert|30|u.s.gal}} and the fresh water tank has a capacity of {{convert|200|u.s.gal}}. Cabin headroom is {{convert|6.42|in|cm|0|abbr=on}}.

For sailing downwind the design may be equipped with a symmetrical spinnaker.
