{{Anthony Albanese sidebar}}

The second Albanese ministry will be the 74th ministry of the Government of Australia. It is led by the country's 31st Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese. The second Albanese ministry succeeded the first Albanese ministry, following the federal election that took place on 3 May 2025 which saw Labor re-elected for a second term.

As Labor extended their majority in the House of Representatives, Albanese told the media that they "are overflowing with talent." The Guardian commented that with the party making massive gains in Queensland and consolidating its positive position in Victoria, that the Prime Minister would have a "welcome headache" having to "manage internal pressure from some Labor members for ministerial promotions."{{cite web|url=https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2025/may/05/anthony-albanese-labor-government-priorities-cabinet-speculation|title=Albanese tells crossbench to 'get out of the way' on housing as he faces calls for stronger action on environment|website=The Guardian|date=5 May 2025|first1=Josh|last1=Butler|first2=Krishani|last2=Dhanji|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20250505132311/https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2025/may/05/anthony-albanese-labor-government-priorities-cabinet-speculation|archive-date=5 May 2025|url-status=live}}

Upcoming arrangement

{{as of|2025|5|6}}, the upcoming arrangement has not been announced yet.

Media reports before a May 9th Labor caucus meeting reported that the Labor Left faction selected senators Tim Ayres and Jess Walsh to replaced departing First Albanese ministry ministers Bill Shorten and Stephen Jones, that the Victorian Right faction chose to replace First Albanese ministry Attorney-General Mark Dreyfus's ministry spot with Sam Rae, and that First Albanese ministry Science and Industry Minister Ed Husic was dropped due to an overrepresentation of the NSW Right faction in the ministry which has a legislated cap of 30 members excluding assistant ministers and special envoys.{{cite web|url=https://www.abc.net.au/news/2025-05-08/federal-politics-live-election-albanese-labor-liberal-party/105266590#live-blog-post-178029|title=Federal politics live: Jacinta Nampijinpa Price departs Nationals to help 'rebuild' Liberals|publisher=ABC News|date=8 May 2025}} Other reports also indicated that Rebecca White and Daniel Mulino may receive roles.{{cite web|url=https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2025/may/07/tim-ayres-promotion-labor-reshuffle-after-election|title=Tim Ayres among MPs tipped for promotion in Albanese reshuffle|website=The Guardian|date=7 May 2025|first=Tom|last=McIlroy}}
