The Seyit-Settar Mosque ({{langx|crh|Seyit-Settar Cami}}) is a mosque (cami) in Old Simferopol neighborhood of Simferopol, Crimea.[https://ru.krymr.com/a/photo-mechety-kryma-seit-settar-vozrozhdeniye-cherez-desyatiletiya/29639628.html Мечети Крыма: Сеит-Сеттар – возрождение через десятилетия (фотогалерея)]
History
Records indicate that the mosque was funded in 1850 by the then Simferopol city mayor, merchant {{ill|Seyit Settar Çelebi|uk|Сеїт Сеттар Челебі}}.Свод памятников истории, архитектуры и культуры крымских татар. vol. III, Симферополь. — Белгород: «КОНСТАНТА», 2018, pp. 84-89
During the Great Purge, the mosque was abandoned by the religious community under fear of reprisals by the Bolsheviks. In 1990s during the massive return of Crimean Tatars from the exile the mosque was reopened.
In 2014 the old building was demolished. Before that, in 2013 the city council allocated 0.4452 hectares of territory adjacent to the mosque to the Spiritual Administration of the Muslims of Crimea for the reconstruction of the building and the construction of a madrasah, an administrative building and a building for students.{{Cite web |url=http://www.novoross.info/politiks/19877-vlasti-simferopolya-vydelili-dumk-pochti-45-sotok-zemli-dlya-vozrozhdeniya-musulmanskih-svyatyn-xvii-xviii-vekov-v-starom-gorode-i-stroitelstva-mecheti-v-novom-mikrorayone.html |title=Власти Симферополя выделили ДУМК почти 45 соток земли для «возрождения мусульманских святынь XVII—XVIII веков» в Старом городе и строительства мечети в новом микрорайоне |access-date=2020-04-18 |archive-date=2021-08-31 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20210831014437/http://www.novoross.info/politiks/19877-vlasti-simferopolya-vydelili-dumk-pochti-45-sotok-zemli-dlya-vozrozhdeniya-musulmanskih-svyatyn-xvii-xviii-vekov-v-starom-gorode-i-stroitelstva-mecheti-v-novom-mikrorayone.html}} The new mosque, constructed over the old basement, was inaugurated in 2016.[https://rg.ru/2016/09/11/reg-ufo/v-simferopole-rekonstruirovali-starinnuiu-mechet-seit-settar.html В Симферополе после реконструкции открыли старинную мечеть]
