Sahid Gate or Shahid Gate (lit. Martyr's Gate) is a monument in Kathmandu, Nepal. The monument was inaugurated on 13 April 1961.{{Cite web |title=आधुनिकताको अव्यवस्थाले नाशिँदै शहरको सुन्दरता |url=https://www.himalkhabar.com/news/122420 |access-date=2022-11-15 |website=Himal Khabar}} As of 2016, there are five statues in the gate. Four men, namely Dharma Bhakta Mathema, Gangalal Shrestha, Dashrath Chand, and Shukraraj Shastri, who are considered martyrs since they stood against the 104-year-old Rana Regime, have their statues above their arms established here. On top of all is a statue of former King Tribhuvan, who, in B.S. 2007 (A.D. 1950) cooperated with people to introduce democracy in the country.{{cite news|title=Former king's statue to be moved from Shahid Gate to Narayanhiti|url=http://www.thehimalayantimes.com/fullNews.php?headline=Former+king%27s+statue+to+be+moved+from+Shahid+Gate+to+Narayanhiti&NewsID=314996|accessdate=18 June 2012|newspaper=The Himalayan Times|date=2012-01-02| archive-date = 6 December 2014 | archive-url = https://web.archive.org/web/20141206062230/https://www.thehimalayantimes.com/fullNews.php?headline=Former+king%27s+statue+to+be+moved+from+Shahid+Gate+to+Narayanhiti&NewsID=314996 |url-status=dead}} The gate was designed by Shankar Nath Rimal.{{Cite web |title=कसरी जन्मियाे सहिद गेट ? सहिद गेट बनाएका इन्जिनियरकाे कथा |url=https://farakdhar.com/story/9556/ |access-date=2022-11-15 |website=Farakdhar {{!}}{{!}} Nepal's Online Magazine}} King Mahendra inaugurated the monument and named it Nepal Smarak.{{Cite web |title=कसरी बनेकाे थियाे सहिद गेट ? नेपाल स्मारकलाई किन भनियाे सहिद गेट ? |url=https://farakdhar.com/story/23486/ |access-date=2022-11-15 |website=Farakdhar {{!}}{{!}} Nepal's Online Magazine}} However, people started calling it Shahid gate, a name by which it is presently called.

In 2012, the Nepali cabinet meeting decided to move the statue of Tribhuvan from the Gate and to the Narayanhiti Museum leaving only the statues of the martyrs at the monument.
